Specify whether you need fresh ginger, whole dried ginger or dried slices. Each form calls for different product checks, packing and handling.
Product form and condition
The IDB catalogue lists ginger from Java and Sumatra in fresh, dried and sliced forms. For fresh ginger, describe the rhizome size and acceptable surface condition. For dried ginger, specify whole pieces or slices, the required dimensions and any moisture limit set by your buyer.
Attach reference photos if available. They help explain appearance and size; sample approval should follow a written specification.
Sample acceptance criteria
List the checks you need, such as size, cleanliness, physical damage or laboratory parameters. Include acceptance limits and test methods where applicable. Mark any undecided requirement for discussion before approving a sample.
Packing and shipment
The catalogue lists mesh bags and cartons as packing options. State the required net weight per pack, order volume, destination port and target shipment date. Container type and handling are agreed after reviewing the product form and route.
